My Side of the Mountain, Review by Bailey Gray-This book really interested me because you have this boy who is really brave and who has a lot of confidence. I chose this book because I think everyone can relate to it, there was always that time in our life were we wanted to just leave the world behind but we were never really brave enough to do it but this boy was and I think that’s why it’s such a great book.

Most of the events revolve around Sam Gribley, a young boy who runs away from home to live in the mountains, where he attempts to survive entirely on his own, learning to hunt, gather food, and build shelter, while also  forming a unique bond with a falcon he named Frightful. All while navigating the challenges of solitude and the desire for connection with his family back home.

In conclusion I think that this is a book that people of all ages should read because it reminds of when we wanted to be away from everyone, when we wanted to just leave and never come back.

Diary of A Wimpy Kid, Review by Lakota Martin.-The book starts with Greg getting into trouble at school and being blamed for a prank he didn’t commit. When a major snowstorm hits, Greg’s house becomes a chaotic environment as everyone is stuck inside together. As the snow piles up outside, tensions rise within the Heffley household. Greg’s parents are frustrated, and his younger brother, Manny, continues to cause trouble. Greg also tries to avoid the wrath of his mom, who has made it her mission to get the family to bond during the storm. Greg’s attempts to survive cabin fever lead to humorous and often cringe-worthy situations. In the end, Greg finds himself in an unexpected predicament with the school, and though things don't always go his way, he continues to navigate the ups and downs of being a middle schooler. Will he get through it and find a solution?
