Braggs Teacher, Julie Fleenor, received a grant earlier this year to provide her students with an online math program called Reflex Math. Her students can use the program to improve their math fact fluency in addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division. Mrs. Fleenor teaches both 2nd and 3rd grade in one classroom. While she is doing group work with one class, the other class uses the Reflex Math program to hone their math fact skills. Since starting the program in October, her students have raised their overall math fluency from 17.1% to 58.6%. The grant she received is valued at over $2,000. Good work, Mrs. Fleenor!

Enrollment at Braggs Schools is up this year, which is great; however, we are currently running low on our inventory of student Chromebooks. There are several Chromebooks from previous years, which were not returned. If any student, present or past, has a school-issued Chromebook at home not being used, we are asking that those devices be turned in to the school at your earliest convenience. Even if the device needs repair or is missing the power cord, we would like to use it for parts or see if our tech staff can repair it. There will be no penalty and no questions asked. Thank you!

Because our Wildcats basketball team qualified for the State Tournament this week, and several students and staff will be out, Wednesday and Thursday will be virtual days for students and staff of Braggs Schools. Offices will be closed. Teachers will be posting assignments online or sending home print work. Students must make contact with their teachers and/or participate in any scheduled Google Meets to meet attendance requirements for these days. The parent-teacher conferences scheduled for Thursday, 2/29/24, have been moved to next Thursday, 3/7/24. (The PT conferences scheduled for Monday, 3/4/24, will continue as scheduled.) We are proud to support our players and coaches this week, as they head to the Big House in hopes of bringing home the Gold Ball. Go Wildcats!
